The Colegio de España assigns the families.  Most of the families they choose have provided housing for their students for many years.

Family accommodations are based on double occupancy. The student can expect middle income homes providing the essential needs. The diet is Spanish food. Breakfast is light consisting of coffee and bread/pastry. Lunch is the main meal of the day and dinner is light.  Because most of the cities and towns in Spain are centuries old, almost all the people live in "pisos" (apartments).   Most of the families are 10 to 25 minutes walking distance from the center of town. Families provide laundry service optionally.  Although it is not common practice, please note that there is a possibility that we may have to change the assign home up to and after departure due to factors beyond our control. If we have to make the change and the change is made after departure, the school will notify the participant upon arrival.      

Apartments/Flats      

Apartment accommodations are available on a request basis.  The additional fee, if any, depends on the number of people sharing an apartment and the type of apartment we are able to get.  Normally the apartments are located less than 20 minutes walking distance from the school and center of town.
