El Prado Museum (Guided)
The Prado Museum is one of the best art galleries in the world. It houses the most important collection of Spanish painting through the 19th century. In it we can admire masterpieces by Velazquez, El Greco, Goya, Murillo, Ribera and Zubaran, among others. In addition, it also contains a magnificent collection of Flemish and Italian art: Rembrandt, Rafael, Botticeli, Tintoretto, among others. Museum hours: 9:00 - 19:00 Tuesday to Saturday; Sundays from 10:00 to 15:00; closed Mondays. |

July 17 Fiestas de
Chamberí
As in many other Spanish towns, various neighborhoods dedicate these dates in mid July to the Virgen del Carmen. The echoed words: "From el Carmen to Santiago the sun never goes down in Chamberí", can be applied to these days in the Vallecas, La Latina and Carabanchel neighborhoods, where sporting events, parties, and music shows come one after the other. |

Little Pamplona)
July 25th, the feast of St. James the patron saint of Spain, is the day on which the bullfighting season begins in Chinchón with an early morning encierro (running of the bulls) and a novillada (training bullfight) in the afternoon. Note: Students are not allowed to run with the bulls |
